While Las Vegas, Austin, and Nashville may take the cake for the country’s top Bachelor and Bachelorette party destinations, San Diego’s abundance of bars, restaurants, and activities makes it a destination you don’t want to sleep on for that “final fling before the ring.” We know the planning process may be tricky. To help Maid of Honors, Best Men, and those tasked with putting together the parties, we’ve rounded up some of the best dining, drinking, and activities to ensure the whole wedding party can have a blast before the big day.

Dining

The Presley

The Presley, located in Liberty Station, is the perfect place to kick off any bachelor/ette weekend. With expansive outdoor patio, large marble tables, fire pits, couches, and swing seating, The Presley has ample space to accommodate large groups, making it an ideal location to gather the whole wedding party. Whether you’re looking to get bach and boozy at brunch, or you want to enjoy a casual evening of drinks and bites by the firepit, The Presley is sure to kickstart the festivities.

Barbusa

Located in San Diego’s popular Little Italy neighborhood, local hotspot Barbusa is a must hit dining destination for anyone visiting San Diego, especially those in town for a bachelor/ette celebration. Barbusa truly puts the “lit” in Little Italy, calling upon its ambience, impressive cocktail menu, delicious bites, and vibrant energy to make every night a party. Enjoy delicious modern Sicilian cuisine and be sure to check out Barbusa’s secret menu items, including the Busa Board, a six foot long sharing platter for the table that allows large groups to test out a variety of Barbusa’s starters, and bone marrow luge shots.

Puesto

No one knows how to throw a final fiesta before the big day quite like Puesto, and with outposts in La Jolla, Mission Valley, and Seaport Village, Puesto makes for the perfect spot for a night out with your wedding crew. Indulge in elevated Mexican fare, including Puesto’s award-winning tacos, ceviches, and snacks and shares, along pitchers of margaritas, craft cocktails, house-brewed beer, and flight of Mezcal and Tequila flights, before a night out.

Sipping

Moonshine Flats

If you want a taste of Nashville without flying all the way to Tennessee for your Bachelor/ette party, Moonshine Flats is the perfect place for you and your friends to break out your boots and hit the dance floor. Downtown San Diego’s go-to place to let loose, Moonshine Flats is where traditional honky-tonk meets contemporary dance club. Take center stage in the dancing cage, throw back a shot on Moonshine’s infamous spinning chair, or go all out with bottle service – there’s no shortage of activities at the Flats. If your group is celebrating closer to the beach, be sure to check out Moonshine Flats’ sister concept, Moonshine Beach, located in Pacific Beach.

Madison on Park

If the woman/man of the hour is craving a true hand-crafted cocktail, look no further than Madison on Park. Located in San Diego’s University Heights neighborhood, Madison is a lounge and eatery with a Mediterranean and Southern California inspired menu. This neighborhood gem is known for their specialty cocktails, and doubles as a go-to weekend brunch spot with an eclectic array of Mimosas and a cocktail menu created specifically for brunch.

Activities

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

Pamper the bride or groom-to-be by planning a stay or purchasing a day-pass at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. Gather your party to sip mimosas by the sparkling pool in one of Estancia’s plush cabanas and daybeds. The heated saltwater pool and whirlpool are surrounded by the sun-soaked lush garden grounds of this hacienda style hotel, and each cabana comes with a refrigerator stocked with non-alcoholic beverages and a discount on any food or beverage ordered from the neighboring Haven Bar & Grill. After you’ve finished lounging by the pool, head to The Spa at Estancia, named the city’s best spa by San Diego Magazine, to pamper the Nearlywed and crew.

Duffy of San Diego

Take advantage of San Diego’s amazing weather and get out on the water with Duffy of San Diego. The perfect size to accommodate the whole wedding gang, without blowing the entire weekend’s budget, Duffy of San Diego is BYOB and food, and features an on-board sound system, allowing you to get your party on while cruising the bay, and enjoying some fresh air, sunshine, and good vibes.
